Our hope is that Dave’s Wish becomes a name that people remember when thinking of Extended Hospice Support.

Dave’s Wish is a nonprofit that helps hospice patients in crisis by covering essential needs like rent, utilities, housing modifications, medications, and medical treatments not covered by hospice. We do our best to keep families connected and surrounded by love by help families without financial resources visit their out of town loved one. We help families through bereavement by providing age-appropriate resources to manage their grief.

  • Dave’s Wish serves individuals who are currently under hospice care in Lubbock or the surrounding area. Assistance is intended to support urgent, dignity-centered needs for both patients and their families.

  • We do our best to respond within 2–3 business days. If your need is urgent, please let us know in the application so we can prioritize it.

  • Yes! Dave’s Wish is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. We will provide a donation receipt for your records

  • Absolutely. Memorial donations are a beautiful way to honor a loved one’s legacy. You can dedicate your donation during checkout, and we’re happy to notify the family if contact information is provided. If you’d like your loved one to be memorialized on our website, send us a photo and a short excerpt about their impact to daveswishtx@gmail.com and we will add it to our memorials page
